Erin & Josh | Smythes Creek
Third time was a charm for these lovers, opting to go small, they just couldn’t wait!! So the plan was they’d elope on their own property just outside of Ballarat and invite their brothers to be witnesses. Their third witness, Reggie, represented their canine family, and was highly enthusiastic about being ring bearer. After a last minute decision to move the ceremony under the shade of a mighty gum tree to escape the heat, and beside an affectionately named dam called ‘Lake Erin’, Josh and co waited not only 500m away from the house Erin was getting ready at. Soon Erin arrived, chauffeured through the paddock in her brother’s Rubicon, with Reggie riding in the tub! It was so nice to see the two finally seal the deal in such a relaxed and intimate celebration. I love nothing better than capturing these moments against the colours of the Australian bush, especially when it’s in such close proximity to such iconic landmarks like Lake Erin and Mount Josh. I think you’ll find that Erin and Josh quietly agree!
