Anita & Matt | Mindil Beach N.T.

Anita & Matt escaped the cool Winter of Victoria and flew north to Australia’s top end to celebrate their love story. Darwin’s Mindil Beach was the backdrop to one of the best elopements we’ve ever had the privilege of witnessing, and to top it off, lit by a spectacular Darwin sunset! While Matt waited patiently (and nervously) in front of an impressive wall of boulders, Anita slowly made her way barefoot over the beach into his gaze, finally arriving to be met by a combination of Matts Hollywood smile and tears (he’ll say it was sweat from NT’s humidity!)

Before their celebrant Caitlyn (or CJ as she’s affectionately known!) started proceedings, Helen, who was sitting not far away with her mob on the beach, made her way over to congratulate the pair. It made for the perfect distraction as Anita had secretly organised Matt’s sister Nicole to fly up from Victoria to be witness to this amazing event. Again, Matt, overjoyed with happiness let the waterworks go! When everyone had composed themselves, the pair read out their vows to each other and soon became husband and wife. We’d all celebrate with a cold beer before we experienced a stunning sunset on the beach, Matt & Anita playing in the shallow water (keeping an eye out for any salties!) until the sun had set below the horizon to promise them a new day, a new beginning and a new chance at love…
