High School sweethearts, Ben & Emily made a chance meeting at Malmsbury’s Town Hall many years ago ‘official’ on a summer’s day in the hills of Mount Macedon. These ‘fairytale’, ‘unicorn’ relationships are seldom seen these days; first love born out of a high school crush. But if these two lovers are anything to go by, unicorns ARE real!! The sprawling grounds of Lawson Lodge, with its ornamental lake, boathouse and 9 hole golf course made the perfect backdrop for the couples celebrations, while the weather gods were certainly smiling down on them with a warm and sunkissed day. While Ben ‘killed time’ playing a few holes, sharing a few ales and nervous banter with the boys, Em and her bride squad were keeping it chill, warming up with an impromptu dance off to the Nutbush, all the while balancing a glass of bubbly! As the hours became minutes Emily, arm in arm with Mum & Dad, was soon walking down the aisle to an emotional Ben, where I’m sure time slowed for the couple, who after all this time were hanging on this moment to finally happen; and it was perfect!!
